How To Properly Operate A Pneumatic Anchor Cable Releaser?
Dec 12, 2025| Preparation Before Operation
1. Check the Hydraulic System: Confirm that the hydraulic oil level is 3/4 full in the tank. Use dedicated hydraulic oil (such as HF-1 type). Do not mix different types of oil. Check the pneumatic pump's oil and air circuits for proper function and ensure there are no leaks.
2. Equipment Connection: Screw the high-pressure oil pipe into the A/B port of the reversing valve. Seal the joint with PTFE tape. Do not wrap tape around the first thread of the oil pipe. The pneumatic pump must be equipped with an air filter to ensure a clean air source.
Anchor Retrieval Operation Procedure
1. Steel Strand Locking: Insert the steel strand into the anchor jack hole, ensuring the axis is aligned to avoid uneven loading. For manual anchor cable releasers, tighten the unloading handle counterclockwise and crank the lever to extend the piston.
2. Hydraulic Pressure Increase: Slowly start the pneumatic pump and increase the pressure to 63MPa (rated pressure). The anchor retrieval cylinder will then push out, separating the anchor jacket. The operator must retreat to a safe area at least 3 meters away and control the piston to reset using the reversing handle.
3. Reversing and Depressurizing: After the anchor is retracted, loosen the unloading handle counterclockwise to release pressure, then reverse the direction. Reversing under pressure is strictly prohibited to avoid damage to the equipment due to excessive instantaneous pressure.
Safety Precautions
1. Air Purging Operation: For first-time use, run the machine unloaded several times to remove air from the hydraulic circuit.
2. Tool Matching: Tool anchors for jacks of different tonnages cannot be mixed, and special accessories must be purchased according to the manufacturer's requirements.
3. Maintenance: Clean the pneumatic pump after each shift, replace the filtered hydraulic oil, and store in a ventilated and moisture-proof environment.
Common Problem Handling
1. Abnormal Pressure: If noise or unstable pressure occurs during pressurization, immediately stop the machine and check the oil circuit sealing.
2. Anchor Seizure: Confirm whether the anchor retraction force matches the anchor cable specifications (e.g., a 21.6mm anchor cable requires a 500KN retraction force). Replace with a suitable tool anchor if necessary.
