Can a pneumatic anchor drill rig's air leg not dropping be repaired?
May 11, 2026| 1. Exhaust system blockage can be cleaned. If the exhaust port on the three-way valve body or the fixing sleeve is blocked, preventing gas from escaping, it can be cleared with a thin wire or the exhaust valve can be removed and cleaned. This usually solves the problem quickly.
2. Damaged seals can be replaced. Wear, outward turning, or aging of vulnerable parts such as outrigger seals and O-rings can cause internal air leakage, affecting the dropping. Simply disassemble, replace the seals, and apply an appropriate amount of antifreeze lubricant to restore performance.
3. Abnormal air pressure can be adjusted. Problems such as low air supply pressure (<0.4MPa), air leaks in the air pipe, or clogged filters can be repaired by checking the air source, replacing the hose, or cleaning the filter.
4. Mechanical jamming can be maintained. If the outrigger telescopic tube is bent, has a rough inner wall, or is covered with fly ash, it can be disassembled, cleaned, and the cylinder checked for wear. Keeping the inner wall smooth (e.g., 0.8 according to FIXENZ standards) helps with smooth movement.
5. Improper operation can be corrected. Failure to slow down the drilling speed after drilling, or failure to reset the reversing valve, can also cause the outriggers to fail to lower. Standardizing operating procedures and avoiding forced operation can effectively prevent malfunctions.
