Certification: Operators must be trained and pass an examination before operating the machine.
Environmental Inspection: Ensure the work area is flat, dry, and well-ventilated, and remove any debris.
Component Inspection: Confirm the drill rod is straight, the drill bit is sharp, there are no leaks at the joints, and the air hose is intact.
II. Operating Procedures
Connecting Pipelines: Drain any water from the compressed air pipeline. After closing the crank handle, connect the air and water hoses and secure them using a special U-shaped clamp.
Trial Run: Turn off the air and water switches. Repeatedly pull the trigger to check its flexibility. Briefly open the trigger to observe its operation.
Drilling Position: Two operators are required. After securing the base, lightly press the drill to start it. Once the drill bit has stably entered the hole, rotate it to full speed.
Normal Drilling: The driller should stay away from the drill body, and a person holding the rod should supervise. After connecting the drill rod, continue drilling to the desired depth, then slow down the rotation speed and smoothly withdraw the drill.
III. Maintenance and Upkeep
Daily Inspection: Check spindle flexibility, oil level and quality in the oil cup. Close the handle and store after use.
Regular Maintenance: Clean the equipment, change the lubricating oil, and check for drill rod wear.
Final Work: Run the machine idle to remove water and prevent rust. Inspect for and repair any damage. Store vertically in a safe location.
IV. Safety Precautions
Protective Equipment: Wear safety goggles, a dust mask, and gloves. If the operating platform is more than 2 meters high, a safety rope must be used.
Operating Procedures: Never touch the drill rod while the drill is rotating. Do not use it under excessive pressure. Stop the machine immediately when dealing with a stuck drill bit.
Transportation and Storage: Do not move the drill by hand using the air hose or water hose. Close coordination is required when working in confined spaces.
