How To Check The Air Pressure And Water Pressure Of Pneumatic Air Leg Rock Drill?

Jun 23, 2025|

Check the air pressure
1. Check the air source pressure: Before use, you need to check the wind pressure at the work site. The wind pressure should be around the rated pressure of the rock drill, generally 0.4-0.6MPa. Too high air pressure will accelerate the wear of mechanical parts, and too low pressure will significantly reduce the rock drilling efficiency, or even fail to work.
2. Check the air pipe connection: Before connecting the air pipe to the rock drill, the air should be deflated to blow out the dirt in the pipe. When connecting the air pipe, deflate the dirt at the joint and make sure the air pipe is tightened to prevent it from falling off and injuring people.
3. Check the thrust of the air leg: Check the flexibility of the air leg to ensure that the air leg can be retracted and retracted normally. If the thrust of the air leg is insufficient or the retraction is not smooth, you need to check the sealing ring, pressure regulating valve and other components of the air leg.
Check the water pressure
1. Check the water pressure: The water pressure should meet the requirements, generally 0.2-0.3MPa. If the water pressure is too high, water will flow into the machine, destroying lubrication, reducing rock drilling efficiency, and corroding mechanical parts; if the water pressure is too low, the flushing effect will be poor.
2. Check the water pipe connection: Before connecting the water pipe, drain water to clean the dirt at the joint, and make sure the water pipe is tightened to prevent water leakage.
3. Check the oiler: Inject lubricating oil into the automatic oiler. Commonly used lubricating oils are No. 20, No. 30 and No. 40 engine oils. The oil container should be clean and covered to prevent rock powder and dirt from entering the oiler.
Other precautions
1. Check the drill: Check whether the drill meets the quality requirements and whether the drill tail meets the requirements of the rock drill. It is forbidden to use unqualified drills.
2. Check the operation of the machine: Insert the drill tail into the head of the rock drill, turn the drill clockwise by hand, and check whether there is a jam inside the machine. After tightening the connecting bolts, turn on the air to check the operation of the rock drill. It can only start working when it is running normally.
3. Regular inspection: During use, the air source pressure and air leg cylinder pressure should be checked regularly to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
