How To Maintain And Service Pneumatic Roofbolters?

I. Daily Maintenance Points
1. Seal Replacement
Rubber parts such as water jacket seals, air leg seals, and distribution shaft seals need to be replaced every 15-20 days. For equipment used frequently, the replacement cycle should be shortened.
When installing the air leg seal, pay attention to the direction (the convex side of the Y-shaped seal should face upwards), and apply grease to reduce friction.
2. Cleaning and Lubrication
After operation, clean debris from the surface of the drilling rig and blow out internal moisture to prevent rust.
The lubricator needs to be cleaned regularly, including the Y-shaped filter and valve block filter screen, to prevent impurities from clogging and causing power reduction.
II. Key Component Maintenance
1. Air Leg Maintenance
Check that the leg lifting is smooth. If the seal is damaged or leaking, replace it immediately, and ensure the lubricator oil is clean.
When assembling the air leg, follow the layered sleeve sequence (outer cylinder → first stage cylinder → second stage cylinder → third stage cylinder), and the circlip must be fixed with circlip pliers.
2. Main Shaft and Bearings
Check the flexibility of the main shaft rotation daily. If the machine head oil seal is worn, replace it promptly, and prioritize using high-durability bearings (such as SKF brand).
III. Long-Term Storage and Fault Prevention
1. Storage Requirements
Close all air and water valves, and place the drilling rig vertically in a dry environment to prevent metal parts from rusting.
Regularly test the idle running state; abnormal noise or vibration requires checking bearings, gears, and other components.
2. Common Fault Troubleshooting
Lack of power: Check for lubricator blockage, air leaks, or filter screen cleanliness.
Water leakage: Check for damaged water jacket seals or loose connections.
