How To Maintain The Pneumatic Rib Drill To Extend Its Service Life?

Daily maintenance
1. Check fasteners: Check all fasteners before and after work every day to see if they are loose. If they are loose, they must be tightened in time.
2. Check the flexibility of the spindle: Ensure that the spindle rotates flexibly.
3. Check the control switch: Check whether all control switches are normal and flexible.
4. Check the oiler: Ensure that the oiler works normally and the oil quantity and oil quality are qualified.
5. Clean the equipment: Clean, remove dirt and wipe it clean in time after use.
6. Rust prevention: Remove rust spots from rusty areas and apply rust inhibitor.
7. Check the air filter: The filter in the air path should be checked and cleaned regularly. If damaged, it must be replaced in time.
8. Avoid equipment collision: The drilling rig shell is made of aluminum alloy. It is strictly forbidden to drop, smash or press it.
Regular maintenance
1. Regular disassembly and cleaning: Regularly disassemble and clean the drilling rig, clean all parts in the motor shell and add lubricating oil. Replace severely worn parts in time.
2. Clean the filter: The two handles generally do not need to be removed, but the air pipe joint can be removed to clean the filter.
Lubrication and maintenance
1. Ensure lubrication: During drilling operations, oil-free operations are prohibited. Lubricating oil needs to be stored in the oiler. The lubricating oil consumption is preferably 2 to 3 ml per minute.
2. Use suitable lubricating oil: Select the appropriate lubricating oil according to the ambient temperature. For example, when the ambient temperature is -15℃ to 10℃, No. 20 mechanical oil can be used; when the ambient temperature is 10℃ to 35℃, No. 30 mechanical oil can be used.
Other precautions
1. Use suitable drill rods: The hexagonal opposite side size of the drill rod inserted into the drilling rig is 19mm. The drill rod is required to be elastic and wear-resistant, so it is necessary to use a good quality finished drill rod. It is forbidden to use bent drill rods.
2. Avoid water pollution: The compressed air that powers the pneumatic tool will form condensed water at the exhaust port of the tool. If not controlled, the water will turn into ice particles, causing damage to the tool. To avoid this, place the water separator as far away from the air compressor as possible.
3. Use high-quality couplings: The quality of a compressed air system depends on the quality of its claw couplings. High-quality couplings undergo multiple treatments to reduce resistance to airflow and reduce losses.
4. Professional maintenance: Ensure that the rig is maintained by properly trained and authorized personnel, and only use genuine spare parts when replacing.
