What Are The Inspection Steps Before Operating Pneumatic Roofbolters?

Jun 02, 2025|

1. Check the integrity of the equipment: Check whether all parts of the Pneumatic Roofbolters are complete and intact, and whether the bolts are fixed reliably.
2. Check the air and water circuits:
Connect the external air pipeline, open the motor control valve, and test whether the motor control system is normal.
Connect the external water pipeline, open the water valve, and test whether the dustproof water circuit of the anchor drilling rig is unobstructed.
3. Check the outrigger function:
Open the outrigger control valve and check whether the outrigger cylinder body is retracted normally.
Two people stand on the outside of the drilling rig, hold the operating handle tightly with their hands, and hold the drilling rig vertically. The third person operates and checks whether the outrigger thrust is normal.
4. Check the drill rod and drill bit:
Ensure that the drill rod is firmly connected to the drilling rig without looseness.
Check whether the drill rod is bent and whether the central water hole is blocked; check whether the drill bit is sharp, whether the alloy sheet is damaged or detached, and whether the drill bit water hole is blocked. Replace the unqualified ones.
5. Check the high-pressure wind and water hose: Check the integrity of the high-pressure wind and water hose. If it is damaged, bulged, or severely aged, it is strictly prohibited to use it; before installing the air and water inlet hoses, adjust the gate valves of the peripheral pipelines and the wind and water switches of the anchor drilling rig to the closed state, clean the pipe joints and connect the wind and water hoses, and check the air and water supply systems; if the wind and water hoses are already connected, check whether the connection of the wind and water hoses is reliable; each hose must be connected with a special connecting pin or "U" type card, and use 12# iron wire for secondary protection.
6. Check the wind and water linkage and the silencer of the pneumatic motor.
7. Check the air source: Make sure that the air source is free of moisture and oil to prevent affecting the normal operation of the drilling rig.
8. Check the oiler: Add No. 20 mechanical oil to the oiler. The oil consumption should be 2-3 ml per minute. No oil operation is prohibited.
9. No-load operation test: Before drilling, run it at no load first, check the motor rotation and water valve control, and only when everything is normal can it be put into operation.
10. Check the work area: clean the rust, sludge and other dirt on the surface of the anchor drill to meet the cleaning requirements; check whether there are debris, cement slag and other materials around the drilling location to avoid affecting the drilling quality and production efficiency; check whether the drill hole is perpendicular to the ground to ensure the quality of the construction effect; check whether the surrounding environment is safe, such as whether there are risks to facilities such as wires, ventilation ducts, gas pipelines, etc.
