How to Properly Use Mining Anchor Cable Tensioning Equipment?
Dec 15, 2025| 1. Pre-Operation Preparation
Equipment Inspection: Ensure the pneumatic pump, tensioning jack, high-pressure oil pipes, etc., are securely connected and leak-free. Check that the oil pump has sufficient oil and that the oil is clean.
Environment Inspection: Confirm that the roof and supports at the work site are intact and there are no safety hazards.
Protective Equipment: Wear a safety helmet, non-slip gloves, safety glasses, and other personal protective equipment.
2. Installation and Tensioning
Anchor Cable Installation: Insert the anchor cable into the anchor, ensuring the anchor plate is perpendicular to the anchor cable axis, with a deviation not exceeding 5°.
Equipment Connection: Place the pneumatic pump in a safe position and connect the high-pressure oil pipe, ensuring a good seal at the joint.
Start Tensioning: Operate the reversing valve to the "push" position and slowly increase the pressure to the design tension force (e.g., 300kN). The tensioning process should be smooth, and the pressure gauge pointer should rise at a uniform rate.
Pressure Holding and Locking: After reaching the design pressure, maintain the pressure and lock the anchorage. The pressure holding time should be determined according to requirements, and the pressure should remain stable during this period.
3. Post-Operation Maintenance
Pressure Relief and Disassembly: After tensioning, switch the reversing valve to the "Pressure Relief" position. After the pressure gauge returns to zero, switch it to the "Remove Jack" position and remove the jack.
Equipment Maintenance: Clean the equipment after each shift, check the oil level, and add the specified hydraulic oil. Store in a well-ventilated, moisture-proof, and sun-proof warehouse.
Safety Precautions:
Certified Operators: Operators must be trained and pass the assessment.
Standardized Operation: It is strictly forbidden to put hands into the clamping area. Observe the equipment status during tensioning; stop work immediately if any abnormality is found.
Environmental Monitoring: Pay attention to changes in the roof during operation; evacuate immediately if any abnormality is found.
Common Fault Handling:
Unstable Pressure: Check for oil leaks and ensure the oil pump is working properly.
If the jack is not working: Check if the reversing valve is in the correct position and if the air supply pressure is sufficient.
