How to Properly Clean a Mining Pneumatic Anchor Cable Releaser?

Dec 19, 2025|

1. External Cleaning: First, disconnect all connections. Use a soft cloth or brush to remove large pieces of coal slag and grease from the surface. Stubborn oil stains can be wiped with a neutral detergent or diesel fuel, but avoid using strong acids or alkalis to prevent corrosion of metal surfaces.

2. Internal Flushing: For removable parts, flush with diesel fuel or special hydraulic oil. Connect the oil pipe to a clean oil source and start the equipment to circulate the oil, carrying away any remaining metal debris and old oil. Repeat until the flowing oil is clear.

3. Drying and Rust Prevention: After cleaning, be sure to thoroughly air dry or blow dry all parts with compressed air to prevent moisture residue from causing rust. A small amount of rust-preventive oil can be applied to moving parts, but avoid rubber parts such as seals.

4. Inspection and Assembly: During cleaning, carefully inspect all parts for wear and cracks, especially seals and piston rods. After confirming that everything is intact, reassemble as before, ensuring all connections are tight and leak-free.

5. Precautions

Be sure to depressurize the equipment before cleaning to ensure it is completely depressurized.

Avoid direct rinsing with a high-pressure water gun to prevent water from entering electrical components.

After cleaning, a functional test must be performed to confirm that the anchor remover is working properly.
