How to Use Anchor Line Shears
Dec 26, 2025| 1. Inspection and Connection: First, inspect the cutter's appearance to ensure it is not loose or damaged. Then, connect it to the hydraulic pump using a high-pressure hose.
2. Air Purging Operation: Start the hydraulic pump and allow the cutter to reciprocate several times under no-load to purge air from the cylinder and fill it with hydraulic oil, ensuring the two blades are parallel.
3. Cutting Operation: One person operates the cutter, and another operates the hydraulic pump. Place the anchor cable into the blade, and the hydraulic pump pressurizes to drive the piston to cut. Be careful to hold the cutter firmly with one hand and grip the anchor cable tightly with the other to prevent injury from being ejected during cutting.
4. Retraction and Finishing: After cutting, adjust the reversing valve to the retraction position; the cutter will automatically retract. Turn off the air supply and remove the equipment.
Key Precautions:
1. Single-circuit model: Do not continue to apply pressure after cutting, otherwise the blades will be crushed and damaged.
2. Safety First: During operation, personnel must stand in a safe position to prevent injury from flying anchor cable or debris. 3. Maintenance: Operated by designated personnel, with regular checks of hydraulic oil and seals.
