Pneumatic Hydraulic Heavy-Duty Round Link Chain Cutter For Mining

Hengshuo Pneumatic Hydraulic Heavy-Duty Round Link Chain Cutter for Mining is an explosion-proof cold cutting special equipment designed for underground coal mines. It adopts a complete set configuration of pneumatic gear hydraulic oil pump + split hydraulic cutting main unit, driven by 0.5~0.8MPa compressed air available underground. The equipment generates no electric sparks or open flames, specially developed for fast cutting of high-strength mining round link chains installed on scraper conveyors, stage loaders and shearers. It can also cut anchor bolts, round steel, steel rebars and other high-strength profiles.
This tool completely replaces manual sawing and flame gas cutting, eliminating potential safety hazards caused by open-flame operations in high-gas mines. It serves as core maintenance equipment for equipment overhaul and chain replacement at fully mechanized mining faces.

1. Power Unit: Standard Pneumatic Gear Hydraulic Oil Pump by Hengshuo

● Driving Mode: Pneumatic gear motor drives high-pressure gear hydraulic pump. Different from ordinary vane pumps, it resists dust and hydraulic oil impurities, maintaining stable pressure without internal leakage during continuous underground operation, perfectly adapting to harsh roadway working conditions.

● Rated Working Oil Pressure: Standard 63MPa, equipped with built-in overflow overload protection valve that automatically releases excess pressure to protect the oil pump, hydraulic hoses and cutting cylinder from high-pressure damage.

● Standard Accessories: Pressure gauge, two-way manual reversing valve, 46# anti-wear hydraulic oil tank, pneumatic filter pressure regulating oil mist triple unit, 4m double-layer steel wire reinforced high-pressure hydraulic hose, quick leak-proof hydraulic connectors.

2. Actuator Unit: Heavy-Duty Round Link Hydraulic Cutting Main Body

● Structural Form: Split openable U-shaped clamping slot. Chains can be directly clamped onto the straight section of chain links without threading through chain ends, ideal for narrow maintenance spaces and deformed, seized old chains.

● Cylinder Configuration: Heavy-duty forged double-acting hydraulic cylinder with dual oil circuits for cutting and automatic reset. Single cutting cycle only takes 2~5 seconds for superior working efficiency.

● Cutting Blades: Cr12MoV high-alloy forged cutting blades with overall quenching hardness HRC58~62. Wear-resistant and anti-chipping, blades can be disassembled separately for grinding or replacement to greatly reduce accessory costs.

1. Underground compressed air connects to the pneumatic gear hydraulic oil pump, filtered, pressure-regulated and lubricated via the triple unit to drive the rotation of the pneumatic motor.

2. The motor drives the high-pressure gear pump to output 63MPa high-pressure hydraulic oil.

3. Operate the two-way reversing valve to control oil flow; high-pressure oil enters the cutting cylinder, pushing the piston to drive the movable blade for opposing extrusion cutting against the fixed blade.

4. High-strength round link chains are cold-cut in one pass under hundreds of tons of hydraulic pressure, producing smooth, burr-free cut surfaces.

5. Switch the reversing valve to the oil return position; the cylinder depressurizes and resets automatically, the movable blade opens, and the cut chain link can be removed to finish one cutting cycle.

Operation Steps

1. Connect underground air supply, pneumatic triple unit and pneumatic gear oil pump; stabilize air source pressure at 0.6~0.7MPa and fill the oil pump with 46# anti-wear hydraulic oil.

2. Connect both ends of the high-pressure hydraulic hose to the two oil ports of the oil pump and the inlet/outlet ports of the chain cutter; inspect tight joints for zero leakage.

3. Clamp the target round link chain flat into the U-shaped slot, only cut the straight section of chain links - never cut welded joints of chains. Lock the anti-slip positioning device securely.

4. Stand to the side of the cutting jaw (never stand directly in front of the blade). Slowly pull the reversing valve to apply pressure until the chain is fully cut.

5. Depressurize and reset the cutter, remove the cut chain link to complete the operation. After work, drain condensed water from the air compressor, recover hydraulic oil and clean the equipment for storage.

Safety Prohibitions

1. Do not operate beyond the rated 63MPa pressure; never arbitrarily raise air source pressure to avoid cylinder rupture or hydraulic hose burst.

2. Immediately replace blades with chipping, cracks or severe wear. Do not operate with faulty blades to prevent sliding chains from flying and causing injuries.

3. Avoid rolling, bending or high-temperature baking of high-pressure hydraulic hoses; regularly inspect hoses for aging and cracking.

4. Add dedicated pneumatic lubricating oil to the pneumatic motor before every shift to prevent abrasion and jamming of internal vanes.
